Turon (also called banana lumpia) it is a popular Filipino snack made with saba bananas and jackfruit, wrapped in spring roll and fried.

Recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 ripe saba bananas
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 can of jackfruit
- spring roll wrappers.
- oil for frying
For syrup
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
Cooking Instructions:
- 1. Prepare the lumpia wrappers by peeling them apart.
- 2. Peel the saba bananas and cut each into halves lengthwise.
- 3.Place the brown sugar into a flat dish and roll the slices of banana completely covering each slice.
- 4.Place banana slice to a wrapper. Add strips of jackfruit along the length of the banana. Fold as usual like folding a lumpia.Use water to seal the edge.
- 5.Heat the oil and put-in some brown sugar.Wait until the brown sugar floats. Add some of the turon and fry for 4-5 minutes each side or until the wrapper turns golden brown and the extra sugar syrup on wrapper. Drain then on a strainer to remove excess oils and serve while warm. It is good with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
